I guess the most important fact is to check any supplements with your doctor to make sure that they are definitely not going to do you any harm, especially in conjunction with current medication you may be taking. If the doctor agrees there is no health risk then anything that can improve the changes of prostate problems or reduce symptoms of existing cases can’t be bad.

Better than saw palmetto is the nutrient, beta sitosterol. Beta sitosterol is a natural phytosterol found in plants. It has been studied extensively for its role in supporting prostate health, urinary flow and functions. Beta sitosterol is definitely more powerful than saw palmetto and much scientific data is found on the Internet to substantiate this. You would need to take about 300 mg of pure beta sitosterol a day for it to have a beneficial impact on prostate health. Take a quality prostate supplement like Super Beta Prostate which contains 300 mg of pure beta sitosterol along with essential minerals and Vitamin D – nutrients that support a healthy prostate.
